Alicia Ana Gonzalez is a media relations executive, President and CEO of Media Relations Group, LLC. Born in Cuba, she is the first person in her family to go to college. Her parents were Cuban refugees. The family settled in Miami when Alicia was three years old. She attended public schools, and in pursuit of education and other opportunities, she had to overcome many obstacles due to not knowing English. Despite challenges, she was a high-performing student, and was awarded a housing scholarship from the Southern Scholarship Foundation. This helped her attend and graduate from Florida State University.
