Dwayne Parker

Dwayne Parker: From Prison to Purpose, Dwayne Parker’s Path to Redemption

After a life of crime, selling drugs and gang leadership, Dwayne Parker found himself in prison facing a life sentence. In October 2000, while incarcerated, he had a spiritual conversion and decided to change his life. After being spared a life sentence, he was released from prison in 2003 and joined Youth for Christ and helped start SOZO, an inner-city outreach ministry in Hilltop Tacoma – the same community where he had started a gang more than 15 years prior. In 2011, Parker, a native of Bradenton, FL, returned to his hometown and established Sozo Missions with the vision to see spiritual transformation.
