Annie M. Johnson is a community humanitarian and executive director of Project Annie, Inc., a non-profit organization started in 1998 as a community resource. For years, Project Annie served economically-challenged families living in Tallahassee, Florida’s Frenchtown community. The service program provides food to families, children, seniors, and persons with disabilities. Project Annie has expanded its services and now includes an educational childcare program called “Annie’s Nursery School.” The school provides a safe, nurturing, educational environment for infants and toddlers up to four years of age children while parents or caregivers are working, attending school or seeking employment.
