Patrice Floyd is a teaching artist and the founder of Javacya Arts Conservatory (JAC), Javacya Elite Chamber Orchestra, Florida Society Youth Orchestra, and other orchestras in the Florida, Georgia, Alabama Tri-State area. Founded in 1981, JAC is a college preparatory institute for musicians ages 3 to 18. Through formal training, the conservatory offers students encouraging life and career experiences, and utilizes the arts to facilitate the development of high self-esteem and self-discipline. As an esteemed violinist, teacher, and conservatory director, Floyd is a leading advocate in the America and abroad for using the arts to shape positive and productive lives.
